Community Safety Wardens
Who we are
We are a group of 11 people employed by Milton Keynes Council in the Safer Communities Unit as Safer Communities Wardens. We wear a uniform so that you can see us in the community.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve the well being of local residents by helping people feel safer, helping to tackle environmental crime, helping to reduce crime and the fear of crime and assisting in the reduction of anti social behaviour.
How we work
We work with all sections of the community to help those who may be marginalised or excluded. We patrol our areas all the time so if you see us out and about stop us for a chat or ask us for help.
We may not be able to solve the problems immediately, but we will be able to advise you of what to do and pass on information to the relevant agencies such as Thames Valley Police, the Fire Service, other Council departments and any other statutory or voluntary agencies on your behalf. We’ll also feed back the results to you or chase up any action if nothing has been done.
How can we help you?
We are here to help you solve problems that you have and deal with any issues you may have that affect your quality of life. We can assist you in setting up community based events like litter picks or sports days.
We work in local schools to highlight environmental and other issues that are in the news. If you have a problem and you want to talk about it please stop us in the street when you see us out and about. We will always have the time to talk to you.
